With 17 albums behind him, a new one on the way - and over two decades of musical base in the USA - Olé Ask is an artist you don't want to miss. The one-legged singer-songwriter, known as The Pirate, has built a career that stretches from Toronto to Minneapolis, Los Angeles and Houston - and has collaborated with some of the world's most legendary musicians and producers. Ask has been a voting member of the Grammy Academy, and was also a jury member in two categories at the Spellemannsprisen 2023. His songs have received rave reviews both at home and internationally, and he has collaborated with names from bands and artists such as the Rolling Stones, Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Bryan Ferry, Madonna, Johnny Lang and many more. On the album It's Been A While he had Waddy Wachtel himself - known from Keith Richards, Stevie Nicks and Linda Ronstadt - as a guest guitarist. Now Olé Ask is back on Norwegian soil in full force. After 23 years with the USA as his musical starting point, he has been based in Norway since 2016 - and since 2024 has also become a true Østfolding. At Herr Nilsen he brings with him a star-studded team of musicians from Østfold and invites the audience to a unique concert experience where life experience, musical rawness and strong stories meet. This will be an evening where Nashville meets Oslo - with genuine songwriting, international class and a life in the service of music.
