About this experience
Karpedammen Scene invites you to a genuine and magical experience in the historic and mysterious surroundings of Akershus Fortress. In the Lead Cellar, you can enjoy an exclusive hour-long sound bath featuring gongs and Tibetan singing bowls. Through the vibrations of these instruments, you’ll be guided into deep relaxation, allowing you to release tension and quiet your mind. During the sound bath, you’ll lie on the floor and simply listen to the sounds and vibrations of the gong and singing bowls. Bring a sleeping mat and sleeping bag, and dress as if you were going skiing - the Lead Cellar is part of a 700-year-old fortress with icy rooms that hold countless memories and secrets. The sound bath is led by Therese Aasvik, a certified Kundalini yoga teacher and Gong Master through Northern Light Yoga, as well as a certified Sound Healing Teacher through The Lightwork Experience at Glød Yoga. She also offers regular gong baths at Sagene Church. The Lead Cellar has a unique acoustic character and is one of Akershus Fortress’s best-kept “secret” spaces - now opened for an unforgettable experience.
