Adam Pierończyk feat. Majid Bekkas & DJ Eprom

A new musical encounter between Polish jazz, Moroccan gnaoua and electronic expressions. During the Polish Film Days 2026, Adam Pierończyk, Majid Bekkas and DJ Eprom share the stage together for the very first time. The Polish saxophonist Adam Pierończyk is considered one of the central renewers of Polish jazz. Over a career of nearly 30 albums, he has developed an expression marked by improvisation, melodic freedom and exploratory interplay. He has collaborated with musicians such as Sam Rivers, Archie Shepp, Miroslav Vitouš, Bobby McFerrin, Jeff «Tain» Watts, Tomasz Stańko and Trilok Gurtu. Here he meets Majid Bekkas – a Moroccan vocalist, composer and multi-instrumentalist with deep roots in the gnaoua tradition. With guembri, kalimba and vocals, Bekkas unites the hypnotic rhythms of gnaoua with jazz and music from North and West Africa. He has collaborated with, among others, Joachim Kühn, Archie Shepp, Pharoah Sanders, Louis Sclavis and Aly Keïta. The trio is completed by DJ Eprom, a central figure in Polish hip-hop and electronic music. As a DJ, turntablist and producer, he uses turntables, beats and scratching as full-fledged musical instruments. He is a two-time world champion in the International DJ Association and a five-time winner of the Polish music prize Fryderyk. Together they create an open musical landscape where gnaoua, electronics, beats, scratching, improvisation and jazz are woven into one another. Three distinct musical voices meet in a project developed for spontaneity, rhythmic power and new connections across traditions.
