Children’s Jazz Stage

The Brief

Talents aged 7–15 improvise and play jazz standards Barnas jazzscene is a monthly concert series where young jazz talents explore jazz through improvisation and ensemble playing. The musicians break free from the written notes and perform gems from the jazz standard repertoire with a level of confidence and joy rarely seen at such a young age. Expect great atmosphere, close interaction and playful, high-level improvisation. The performers come from Improbasen, Oslo’s own jazz school for children aged 7–15. The students have extensive stage experience from concerts, festivals and tours in Norway and abroad. Improbasen is supported by the Norwegian Arts Council, the Sparebank Foundation and the City of Oslo. Good to know • Doors open at 12:30 PM
