Virtuosic, playful, and passionate New Year’s celebration with Alexander Sitkovetsky We begin the new year with a musical feast! Together with audience favourite Alexander Sitkovetsky, we present an evening filled with energy, virtuosity, and surprises. Sitkovetsky shines as soloist in Paganini’s spectacular Moses Variations, while members of the orchestra step into the spotlight in other solo roles. The programme ranges from Tchaikovsky’s passionate Souvenir de Florence to the seductive tones of Piazzolla’s Oblivion and Golijov’s dramatic Muertes del Ángel. We also enjoy Atterberg’s romantic sonorities, Carl Nielsen’s melodic gems, and lively folk tunes in arrangements by the Danish String Quartet. In other words, a night where the boundaries between the classical and the popular are blurred – the perfect musical start to the year!
