Welcome to the Season Opening!
We open with Ellen Reid’s West Coast Sky Eternal – a shimmering work by the Pulitzer Prize winner, where soundscapes shift like light over the ocean.
At the heart of the evening is Mozart’s Violin Concerto in A major, with our Artistic Director Pekka Kuusisto as soloist – a performance full of elegance, virtuosity, and playfulness.
The concert concludes with Louise Farrenc’s powerful and romantic Symphony No. 3 – a work that deserves a greater place in the concert repertoire.
The performance takes place in the University Aula, Karl Johans gate 47.
