Description
Every day, hundreds of researchers dive into the causes, consequences and solutions of the environmental and climate crisis. What do they find out? Terje Koren Berntsen researches how weather is affected by climate change. Hear him speak, enjoy breakfast and experience the exhibitions. Free.
Start the day with a boost of knowledge, food and drink! This Thursday we have invited professor of meteorology and oceanography, Terje Koren Berntsen. How large a role do climate change, El Niño and natural variation play in how the weather turns out?
Are the summers we have had in Europe in recent years the new normal? Berntsen researches the natural scientific climate system and how much warmer it will get if we double the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.
Berntsen comes to the Climate House to share more from research in the field, and why it is important to understand how long-term global warming affects weather systems regionally.
Free breakfast and coffee are served, and the exhibitions about climate and climate change can be experienced before and after the lecture. The event is streamed live.
Practical info:
