The return of a great big bang big band bonanza! If you're going to open the fall season with a bang – why not make it the biggest of them all: Supersonic Orchestra! Originally formed by drummer Gard Nilssen for his Moldejazz residency, this supergroup has since toured across Europe and Brazil, released two acclaimed albums, and played two sold-out shows at Jazzscenen. Now they’re back for the third – with new music, a new album, and all the energy you could ask for. This is a one-of-a-kind big band, packed with some of the finest players around: Eirik Hegdal, Per “Texas” Johansson, Kjetil Møster, Maciej Obara, André Roligheten, Sissel Vera Pettersen (saxophones), Thomas Johansson, Goran Kajfes (trumpets), Erik Johannessen, Guro Kvåle (trombones), Petter Eldh, Ole Morten Vågan, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten (basses), Håkon Mjåset Johansen, Hans Hulbækmo, Gard Nilssen (drums) Join us for an electrifying, hypnotic, and explosive night of music!
