Description
Meet geology experts and learn more about geology, rocks, volcanoes and earthquakes.
Join us for Geology Day and talk to experts about geology, rocks and volcanoes.
Feel free to bring a rock or stone you would like to learn more about.
Geology Day is organised annually by the Natural History Museum in collaboration with the Norwegian Geological Society and the Department of Geosciences. The aim of the day is to share knowledge about geology, create a space for curiosity and inspire engagement among the whole family. This year’s theme is earthquakes.
Take the opportunity to explore the Rock Garden and our exhibitions featuring fossils, dinosaurs, rocks and minerals — and, not least, the crystal cave in the basement next to the library.
