Hayden Powell – Undergrowth

Acclaimed trumpeter Hayden Powell brings his new project Undergrowth – a subtle and fascinating blend of post-bop jazz, soundscapes and focused, modern compositions. The debut album has received glowing reviews, described as “cool 70s soundtracks,” “finding its own path,” and “melodic with a touch of enchantment.” With six musicians from diverse musical backgrounds – spanning early music, world jazz, Nordic lyricism and electronic innovation – the ensemble creates a richly colored and deeply engaging sound.
