The exciting trio celebrates their first studio release - live on stage! Weejuns is all about interplay - above all else. Three outstanding musicians come together: Hedvig Mollestad, who in all her projects delivers wide smiles and thrilling musical experiences at the crossroads of jazz and heavy rock; Ståle Storløkken, a towering figure in Norwegian jazz and a master of fusion in all its forms; and Ole Mofjell, currently one of the most prominent young drummers on Europe’s improvised music scene, known among other things from Emmeluth’s Amoeba. In Weejuns - slang for Norwegians - Mollestad steps away from long, composed passages and the heaviest bass-driven lines. Instead, a door opens to a freer universe of sound-painting structures and sparkling interplay, creating a sense of weightlessness that seems to shift the very perception of time.
