Julian Haugland Band – fresh energy in jazz Bass player and composer Julian Haugland is a rising voice in Norwegian jazz, combining playful melodies, hard-swinging grooves and inventive twists. Inspired by Brecker Brothers, Hiromi and Kenny Garrett, yet with a distinct personal sound, Haugland leads a band that thrives on creativity and interaction. His second album Learning (2024) captures the joy and freedom of this ensemble – and live they promise both explosive solos and deep interplay.
