The Brief

Dr Flex is a hard-hitting hip-hop funk band based in Oslo, now inviting you to a spectacular single release night at Dattera til Hagen! They deliver an explosive fusion of old-school 70s funk and 90s hip-hop - all wrapped in a punk-inspired aesthetic and an energetic live show. Producers and listeners alike have compared their sound to everything from Public Enemy and Rage Against the Machine to classic hardcore acts like Bad Brains. Each member brings influences from different musical backgrounds, creating a soundscape that, in addition to funk and hip-hop, features elements of jazz fusion, hardcore, and even gitano rumba. Since 2023, the band has released an EP and played dozens of shows across Oslo, Bergen, and Kristiansand. Over the past months, they’ve been working intensively in the studio leading up to their upcoming single release in the fall of 2025.
