Marie Longva Danielsen: I'll Never Let Her Go

Three young women each tell their own story. An older woman listens. And they each tell their story about men: A relationship with a teacher twenty years older. A best friend who has done something irrevocable to one of the women's little sister. A woman who no longer wishes to be an adult. In "I'll Never Let Her Go", three monologues are woven together. Stories about sexual violence in the grey area, boundary violations, and about taking back power. The performance trembles with anger and frustration, but balances it all with humour. The text was developed through Ung Tekst's Debutant Programme at Unge Viken Teater, and was one of the three winning texts at the Norwegian Drama Festival 2023.
