Nduduzo Makhathini is a critically acclaimed South African pianist and composer known for his deeply spiritual and exploratory jazz. He made his international Blue Note debut in 2020 with Modes of Communication, named one of the year’s best jazz albums by The New York Times.
On his latest release, uNomkhubulwane (2024), Makhathini blends ancient traditions with a forward-looking sound, resonating with listeners of John and Alice Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, and Shabaka Hutchings.
He is joined by a tightly knit trio featuring bassist Ndalisu Ndlazi and drummer Lukmil Perez, promising a powerful and immersive live experience.
