About this experience
In his work for OJKOS, trombonist Jørgen Bjelkerud explores extremes – from heavy, dark, and gloomy to bright, light, and beautiful – drawing inspiration from Henry Threadgill, Anna Webber, and Olivier Messiaen. Guesting is South African saxophonist Shannon Mowday on rarely heard deep woodwinds. Together with OJKOS’ stellar lineup, this becomes a concert where sound, weight, and beauty collide in new forms.
