The best from the world - in Norway! Music knows no borders. Together with Ok Sessions, we present a three-day festival bringing the best from around the world to Norway. Tonight: Monoswezi and Sélène Saint-Aimé. For the third time on the Jazzscenen stage, we welcome vocalist and bassist Sélène Saint-Aimé. She creates a distinctive jazz expression where Caribbean, West African, and French influences intertwine. The music is both grounded and spiritual, timeless yet contemporary - warm, rhythmic, and floating. Saint-Aimé is a double bassist, singer, poet, and composer, with mentors including Ron Carter, Lonnie Plaxico, and Steve Coleman. She has released two albums rooted in African traditions, inspired by Vaudou and spirituality. Through wordless vocals, strong contrasts, and deep emotional intensity, she delivers music that is intimate and deeply moving.
