About this experience
Onion is a band from the Norwegian inland with one mission: to spread harmony and funky vibes across the country. Their music grows out of the interplay between each member’s impulses, expressions, and backgrounds – always leaving plenty of room for spontaneity and improvisation. The result? Grooves that make you dance, leave your neck sore, and maybe even bring a tear or two. Their sound is rooted in funk, soul, R&B, and pop, with a touch of jazz. Influences include D’Angelo, Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, and Lettuce. Since starting the project in 2020, Onion has released several singles featured on streaming platforms and NRK P1. They made their live debut at Kongsberg Jazz Festival 2023, and their latest single Get Along dropped this February. For this show, they’re bringing the full horn section!
