Oslo Drag Festival presents Slaying Together!
What does it really mean to slay together?
We use the word slay when something is done incredibly well, when it impresses, delights and leaves a mark. And drag artists slay in every possible way. They are fearless, expressive, talented and not afraid to own their own success, whether it's a performance, a costume or a spectacular makeup look.
But what does it mean to slay together? (And no, we're not talking about hunting.) Is it about the community around drag art, the artists and the audience? Is it about creating spaces where we lift each other up and celebrate diversity? Or is it about standing together against forces that limit free expression, creativity and diversity?
Slaying Together was originally created by Oslo Drag Festival and produced by Katinka Steensgaard as a celebration of the festival's theme in 2026. Drag artists from all over Norway and internationally were invited to explore the theme through their own stage expressions, and the result was a dazzling show that showcases the breadth, power and creativity of today's drag scene.
Now Oslo Drag Festival is proud to present the show at Oslo Fringe on 12 September 2026. With a strong ensemble of drag artists and a special guest artist from the UK, Slaying Together offers glitter, humor, passion and powerful stage moments – a tribute to art, community, resilience and the joy of standing together.
Because some things are simply better when we slay together.
