Oslo Jazz Circle: Art Pepper

The Brief

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of saxophonist Art Pepper. His life turned out to be something very different from a “Straight Life”! In connection with his centenary, the recording from his concert at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival in June 1980 has now been released internationally. We will celebrate both occasions with what can best be described as Art Pepper - An Evening in Oslo. Johan Hauknes will present Art Pepper, his music, and his musical journey leading up to Pepper’s passing on June 15, 1982—two years after the concert in Kongsberg. Good to know: * Doors open at 18:30
