The Brief
Pianist, composer, and arranger Sverre Indris Joner visits Oslo Jazz Circle to give a talk on Cuban music and Cuban jazz. Joner is a pioneer of Latin American music in Norway and has studied music in, among other places, Havana. In 2007, he founded the popular salsa band Hovedøen Social Club. He has also published a textbook on Latin American percussion. Will there be salsa on the tables? Good to know: * Doors open at 6:30 PM
