Oslo Jazz Circle: Souljazz

Souljazz! Torstein Ellingsen presents 10 funky pioneers within the both criticized and beloved genre. In addition to an engaging talk, you'll hear lots of wonderful music, mostly Blue Note jazz from the 1960s: Jimmy Smith, Horace Silver, Cannonball Adderley, Lee Morgan, Grant Green and more. NB! Tickets are purchased at the door before the event starts, no advance sale. The Jazz Scene's season pass is valid at all Oslo Jazz Circle meetings! Oslo Jazz Circle has been running since 1948. In recent years they have held their meetings with us. Here, through music and lectures, you get insight into jazz history via engaged curators. Oslo Jazz Circle's meetings are open to all. If you want to become a member, the fee is NOK 700 per year, music students NOK 350. Members have free entry, others NOK 200/150. Tickets and memberships can be purchased at the door.
