The French composer Sébastien Palis has brought together two remarkable musicians: Karoline Wallace and Inger Hannisdal, each known for their own innovative musical expressions. Whether it is folk music, jazz, quirky pop, or contemporary music can be hard to define - but it is always powerful, heartfelt, and beautiful. That is precisely why Palis has composed this music especially for the trio, whose upcoming album will take listeners on a journey between light and shadow, between the acoustic and the electronic. Each piece tells a story inspired by fragments of life. The music is rich with imagery, orchestrated by pianist Sébastien Palis, who freely moves through the soundscape from melody to improvisation. Karoline Wallace’s remarkable voice elevates the sonic landscape, creating both intimacy and drama. Inger Hannisdal’s fiddle echoes Norwegian folk traditions, yet flows just as naturally into oriental melodies and ancient musical textures.
