The Brief

The young Portuguese star Teresinha Landeiro is one of the most exciting voices in contemporary fado. With deep respect for tradition and a distinctly modern expression, she brings new life to the genre. She now comes to Norway and Cosmopolite for the very first time. In 2024, she released the album Para Dançar e Para Chorar, where fado’s melancholy meets influences from pop and folklore. A later deluxe edition features powerful collaborations with António Zambujo, Aurora, and Brazilian artist Jota.pê. Through concerts in Portugal and on international stages, Teresinha Landeiro has established herself as an important, young, and innovative voice in modern fado.
