True Loves

True Loves are coming to Cosmopolite with an explosive mix of instrumental funk and soul. The Seattle-based band has in a short time built an international name with concerts full of groove, energy and an interplay that sits right in the backbone. The band started as a jam session in 2014 between drummer David McGraw, bassist Bryant Moore and guitarist Jimmy James. Since then the project has grown into a powerful seven-piece band with percussionist Iván Galvez, trombonist Greg Kramer and saxophonists Gordon Brown and Skerik. With their debut album Famous Last Words they got attention far beyond Seattle, and the follow-up Sunday Afternoon showed a band that both celebrates classic funk and gives the genre new life. New singles and tours in Europe have only strengthened their reputation as a band that truly comes into its own live. When True Loves are on stage, it's tight, rhythmic and full of energy.
