The Brief

“It Wasn’t Me Who Started!” is the story of two clowns searching for the perfect place. One clown follows the sun. She is looking for a place where she can blossom - a place filled with light, calm, and space to be exactly who she is. The other clown arrives with the Jan people at his back - a small but brave group in search of a place to settle, build a home, and crown their leader. They search - and they find it. Exactly the same place. A humorous and heartwarming performance for children about ownership and conflict. Can two very different people live side by side? Clowns are often innocent figures with a unique ability to make difficult and sensitive topics feel safe. Through humor and play, they help create an atmosphere where themes such as violence and conflict can be explored without fear.
