About this experience
Renowned bassist Bjørn Alterhaug returns to Herr Nilsen with his quartet, which debuted on the same stage in 2023. Since then, they’ve played packed shows across Norway. Together with Vigleik Storaas (piano), Tom Olstad (drums), and Erlend Vangen Kongtorp (tenor sax), the group performs music inspired by Miles, Coltrane, and Evans – including pieces like Drum Bird and Message From a Sad Dolphin.
