BYSOMMER Few artists have captured the spirit of Oslo as precisely as Lillebjørn Nilsen. Through a long artistic career, his poetry and songs offered a deep and intimate portrait of the city's soul. For many years, Lillebjørn and his collaborator Helge Westbye hosted Bysommer (“City Summer”), a concert series held during Norway’s summer holiday season. Today, we continue that tradition with the Bysommer concert series, bringing together artists who, like Lillebjørn, share a deep love for Oslo and help fill the city's lazy summer days with warmth, music, and positive energy.
