A smoke-filled evening filled with stories, jazz, whisky and Waits! When the seven-piece orchestra Blow celebrates Tom Waits' 75th birthday and the 50th anniversary of the masterpiece Small Change, it will be with a love and energy that only a band with Waits in their blood can deliver. The first set is an exclusive interpretation of the entire Small Change album – track by track, with respect, nerve and their own signature. The second set takes us through highlights from Waits' entire adventurous career – from Closing Time to Bad As Me. Blow is known for their sold-out Waits celebrations at Rockefeller and tours both domestically and internationally, where the audience is drawn into Waits' dark and magical universe. The band performs – in true Waits spirit – dressed in well-worn thrift store suits, in memory of when Tom himself shopped in Oslo in 1985. Did you know that Tom Waits actually has Norwegian roots? His great-grandfather, Tollef Olsen Nysveen, emigrated from Rendalen in 1869 – and thus a thread runs from Sjølisand to Herr Nilsen this evening. BLOW: Rune Jostein Eide (trumpet) • Eivind Kristensen (saxophone) • Jakob Berg (vocals/guitar) • Espen Ellefsen (drums) • Christian Larssen (guitar) • Sebastian Haugen (double bass) • Sverre Thorstensen (keyboards) An evening with Blow is not just a concert – it's a tribute to life, stories and the music that makes us smell the rain on asphalt and taste cheap bourbon. Join the celebration of a legend – and an album that changed everything. Good to know: * Age limit 20+
