Beautiful and powerful Astrid Lindgren story about the two brave brothers Skorpan and Jonathan. The brothers Jonathan and Skorpan live in great poverty in Sweden in the 19th century. Both boys die at a young age and are reunited in the dreamland of Nangijala. Here they will fish, swim, ride horses and just be happy together in Cherry Valley. But it turns out that the evil knight Tengil and his dragon Katla have other plans, spreading fear and threatening the population. Jonathan decides to take up the fight against Tengil. He thinks Skorpan is too young to participate. Skorpan disagrees and follows him into Tengil's Wild Rose Valley. The Brothers Lionheart is a darker film with a more serious theme than the other Astrid Lindgren stories, and is therefore best suited for older children.
