Birthday Concert for Chet Baker

The Brief

On December 23, Chet Baker would have turned 96. As tradition dictates, Tore Johansen invites you to a birthday concert to honor perhaps his greatest source of inspiration. As usual, he will perform with musicians who played with Baker and musicians who did not. This year the balance is 25/75. Rob Waring played with Chet Baker in the 1980s. Tore has put together a selection of his favorite Chet Baker tunes, featuring both familiar and beloved material, as well as some pieces that are probably not heard very often nowadays.
