This is Cornelis with both the warmest songs and some of the music that didn't always fit in everywhere. Both refined and mischievous! Join buddy Per, Mördar-Anders, Cecilia and Fredrik Åkare, Veronica, Hönan Agda, Deidre and everything else known and unknown from Cornelis' huge songbook. Humor, laughter, just the right amount of seriousness - and lots of singing!! With a large portion of humor, laughter and good anecdotes, a historical perspective is placed on the Nordic ballad wave in general. There is a great range in the songs and they will offer interaction in several ways. Peter Wemö ties the program together with well-chosen stories and 'digressions', and besides his role as troubadour, he is a true entertainer. Peter Wemö is a Swedish cultural worker who has become a Norwegian, and who is one of the great tradition bearers of Swedish and Nordic ballads. This can only be good! Excerpt from review: Here one does not try to 'be' the legendary balladeer, but rather to take the audience on a journey through everything from documented events to drinking stories with a somewhat looser factual basis. The conveyance of both atmosphere and material was the closest I think one can get to experiencing the songs as they were conveyed by Vreeswijk himself, before he left us one November day in 1987.
