The Brief

Country Queens Folkband is real country magic straight from the heart of Norway! Country Queens Folkband consists of the talented and charming Bente Akslen Hagen (vocal/guitar) and Gro Visdal (vocal/bass) from Vågå, together with the energetic Jenny Augusta (vocal/guitar/percussion) from Sømna. Together they deliver an unforgettable live experience with three strong voices, catchy songs and genuine joy of playing. The trio has made a name for themselves in the Norwegian country scene with warmth, humor and high quality, and both press and audience have been delighted. Fjuken wrote after a concert: “Country Queens are simply skilled!” and it’s easy to agree. In the autumn of 2024 they released their debut album “Dancing At The Mansion” and celebrated with a release concert at a sold-out Herr Nilsen in Oslo. The album offers original songs filled with soul, strength and a twinkle in the eye. On stage they move seamlessly between big, touching ballads and lively, humorous songs, with one or two country classics slipped in for good vibes.
