David Urwitz has sometimes been called Scandinavia's best-kept secret. In some circles he is almost an institution, in others he is completely unknown. In 2005 David debuted with the album "Det var väl inget mer med det". An album that received top marks in Göteborgs-Posten and was noticed in both Norway and Sweden. In the years that have passed, David has regularly released albums and toured. In Norway, he has had a huge success with the duet Hos meg (together with Helene Bøksle). In Sweden, David has collaborated and toured with, among others, Peter LeMarc, Caroline af Ugglas and Eldkvarn. During 2025, Urwitz was in the news with a new album - his ninth in a row. It is somewhat curious that David holds the record for the most songs that have challenged the Svensktoppen without entering the actual list. So far, there have been fifteen (15) "bubblers".
