The Brief
Three loyal pets set out on a perilous journey to find their way back to their owners. When the American bulldog puppy Chance, the golden retriever Shadow, and the Himalayan cat Sassy are separated from the family they live with, they are overcome with longing for the children they love. Determined to find their way home, they embark on a long journey through the wilderness of the Sierra Mountains. What follows is both an exciting and dangerous adventure. Meanwhile, the family launches a search when they realize the animals are missing. The aging Shadow teaches the other two how to survive along the way. As they travel, the trio forms a small family of their own, mirroring the one waiting for them at home. Through strong bonds, determination, and love for their owners, the animals must work together to find their way back. Along the journey, they encounter wild animals, unfriendly humans, and the many dangers of nature. Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey is a charming and adventurous film for the whole family, with animals in the leading roles.
