Einar i Solveggen is a singer and songwriter who, with his peculiar blend of sincerity and warm humor, his rich voice, and playful guitar playing, creates a musical universe unlike anything else. Nearly a decade after the Montreal release Overraskelsen, which Tiny Mix Tapes described as “true artistry in song,” he returned in 2024 with the album Miskunn, please and the single Sola har snudd. Morgenbladet praised it as a “beautiful album of hymns” and an “even more beautiful song to the returning sun.” At Nieu Scene this Friday evening, you can expect intimate acoustic versions from these works as well as from his upcoming opus Snakk om sola.
