
Experience an extraordinary evening of immersive sound as Electric Audio Unit welcomes Dr. Karlheinz Essl to Norway this September. On September 2, audiences can enjoy a live concert in full 3D audio, featuring improvisation with electronics, analog synthesizers, touchstyle guitar, and a range of other instruments. Before and after the performance, visitors can also explore a sound installation by Essl, making this a truly unique musical experience. Dr. Karlheinz Essl is an internationally acclaimed Austrian composer and performer. He has taught at renowned institutions including the Darmstadt Summer Course and IRCAM, and served as a professor at the Bruckner University in Linz. He is especially recognized for his pioneering work in algorithmic composition, including the development of the RTC-lib for Max/MSP. Electric Audio Unit is Norway's only professional ensemble dedicated to electroacoustic music, specializing in 3D audio and immersive listening experiences. Since its founding in 2008, the ensemble has commissioned and performed more than 530 electroacoustic works by Norwegian and international composers across Norway and Europe. Today, Electric Audio Unit consists of Ernst van der Loo, Natasha Barrett, and Mathieu Lacroix.
