The Brief

Sasha sets out on an exciting journey to the North Pole in search of her grandfather’s polar ship. What really happened to her grandfather? Sasha is the granddaughter of Oloukine, a renowned scientist and polar explorer who disappeared during an expedition to the North Pole. She is deeply fascinated by his adventurous life and feels a strong calling to become an explorer herself. Her parents, however, want her to marry into nobility. Defying their wishes, Sasha embarks on a dangerous journey, determined to find her grandfather’s lost ship. Long Way North features a rich cast of characters, from hardened sailors and cunning tricksters to kind helpers and honest workers. The animation is of high quality: landscapes and characters are drawn without black outlines, and the color palette makes the icy polar scenery almost leap off the screen.
