Oslo band Fønkhagen returns to SALT with their eleven musicians, funky basslines and a rich soundscape inspired by artists such as Lake Street Dive, Lawrence and Sammy Rae & The Friends. With a good dose of catchy choruses and brass sections, the band writes songs about being too shy around your crush, toxic relationships you can never let go of and, not least, dancing until late at night. The band has previously played at iconic Oslo venues such as John Dee, Rockefeller and Parkteatret, and is also on the bill for this year's Kongsberg Jazz Festival. Now they are bringing both released songs from their recent EP "Up Late With No One" and new material back to the outdoor stage at SALT on July 16. The atmosphere will be of the feel-good type, and maybe your crush is there? Don't be shy, come and experience Fønkhagen defining fønk with "ø"!
