Dagmar, a young student from the countryside, dies under mysterious circumstances in the nation's capital. The police consider the death a suicide and find no reason to open a murder investigation. Dagmar's father comes to the city and quickly senses that there is more behind his daughter's death than first assumed. He becomes acquainted with his daughter's friend Edwige and together they begin their own investigation. The trail leads to the enigmatic German porn king Fritz, but in the shadows lurks a mysterious figure with black gloves who believes that too little blood flows in Oslo's streets. Johnny Markussen has been one of the most active filmmakers in Norwegian indie and underground horror cinema since the 1990s. Giallo a Oslo is stylishly shot on 16mm and 8mm, giving the film a more organic patina. This makes it feel more true to its Italian roots than other contemporary works that pay homage to giallo films.
