Multi-instrumentalist and Spellemannpris winner Harald Lassen is one of the profiles in Norwegian contemporary jazz and has truly gained a foothold with his two latest acclaimed albums and especially live performances. After the talked-about album Balans, which secured him the Spellemannprisen in 2023, he is now current with RIK which has received six dice and is described as a 'great highlight of the music year 2025'. Beyond his roots in Norwegian jazz, we also know Harald Lassen from collaborations with No. 4, Sondre Lerche, Ivan Ave, Susanna Wallumrød and many others. Live, we meet an improviser and songwriter who invites listeners and fellow musicians to explore what he has created and an artist who has understood that the only valid taste is the personal one. Together with a wonderful and deeply soulful crew, Lassen centers the music around his captivating songs and takes the listener on liberating adventures. Grounded and atmospheric at once. 'On the Floor' is a series of acoustic/semi-acoustic concerts at Kulturkirken Jakob where we move the stage, artists and instruments down to the church floor and create seating arrangements very close up.
