Description
In recent years, Heigh Chief has established itself as one of Norway's most exciting and accomplished bands within rock and americana, a band that combines raw nerve with musical finesse at the highest level.
With roots in blues, southern rock and roots, and inspiration from everything from The Band and Little Feat to modern soul and americana, Heigh Chief delivers a sound that is both timeless and fresh. The band originated as Marcus Løvdal Band, but has since developed its own strong expression and released several critically acclaimed albums.
Live, they have made their mark as an extremely strong band, with tours abroad, a radio-broadcast concert in Germany and a reputation for delivering concerts with power, dynamics and joy of playing.
Heigh Chief consists of some of the country's most skilled musicians, with Bjørn Blix at the front, flanked by guitarist Marcus Løvdal and a rock-solid rhythm section. With a rich and organic sound, lifted by among other things a Hammond organ, the concert gains an extra dimension that draws the lines back to the classic rock tradition.
With new material in their luggage and a band that sounds better than ever, this is a concert experience that hits both the heart and the rock foot. There are no gimmicks here, no forced sing-alongs, just strong songs, real emotions and musicians who mean every single stroke.
This is how live music should be.
Welcome to an evening of real quality, up close, honest and full of energy.
