Hilde Louise Quartet play Bessie and Billie

The Brief

Together with three tightly swinging musicians, Hilde Louise Asbjørnsen dives into the catalogues of two of her greatest inspirations, Bessie Smith and Billie Holiday. The audience will also be treated to selections from Asbjørnsen’s own original material, inspired by the era, the sound, and the women themselves. For many years, Asbjørnsen has collaborated closely with Anders Aarum, Jens Fossum, and Svein Erik Martinsen.
