The Brief

The first Jazz Choir was a great success, with an amazing turnout and a wonderful atmosphere. Now we’re inviting you to another evening at Herr Nilsen – and we hope even more of you will join us! No prior experience or ability to read music is required – just curiosity and a desire to sing. Each session, we explore one jazz song from scratch, so you can join whether it’s your first time or you’ve been before. Jazz Choir is more than just singing – it’s a social gathering where community, joy of music, and exploration take center stage. The evening is led by two of Norway’s most exciting young jazz musicians: Ingeborg Sollid (vocals) – known from Sølvtråd, Ingeborg and Isak, and the Ingeborg Sollid Quartet Petter Dalane (piano) – known from Cosmic Swing Orchestra, Petter Dalane Quintet, and Petters Jazzjam Bring a friend or come on your own – the bar is open, the vibe is relaxed, and we promise a unique experience.
