Description
EDVARD Prize winner. American Jeff Wasserman's credits as a songwriter form an impressive list of the «who's who» in Norwegian and Scandinavian music; including Adam Douglas, Jonas Fjeld, Knut Reiersrud, Mighty Sam McClain, Silje Nergaard, Rita Eriksen & Delbert McClinton, BigBang, Solveig Slettehjell, Sissel Kyrkjebø, Dance With A Stranger, Sanne Salomonsen and more. After contributing to more than 85 albums, mainly for others than himself, and being credited for more than 400 released songs.
As a member of the longest-living Norwegian bluegrass band «Gone At Last», in 1984 Jeff and the band were hailed by music paper Puls editor Tore Olsen as «the spearhead of acoustic country-oriented music (aka Americana) in Scandinavia».
Jeffrey's Reverie «reclaims» hit songs such as «Movin' Time», «Everyone Needs A Friend» (which Jeff wrote together with Frode Alnæs and Elg) and plays his songs dressed in the music closest to his heart and roots – American folk & blues and bluegrass music in beautiful union with lively American traditional tunes.
The audience can expect a joyful encounter with a star constellation of six fully acoustic multi-instrumentalists hard to find the likes of, including Terje Kinn (Gone At Last, Terje Kinn's Bluegrass Meltdown), Hanne Mari Karlsen (Sol Heilo, Unni Wilhelmsen Trio), Michael Barret Donovan (Buster Sledge, Torgeir Waldemar) and Gideon Andersson (from Quilty, Sofia Karlsson). In short … an acoustic tour de force!
