Description
Ellen Sofie Hovland digs into the catalogue and explores the theme of love through different life stages with talk, song and music: What stirs in the chaotic dating phase? When are you sure enough to commit? Is everything settled once you get married and have children, a house and a station wagon? And what might it be like to grow old together?
Ellen Sofie is joined by her regular fellow musicians Roger Arntzen (double bass) and Johannes Martens (cello), and together they create a simple but expressive landscape of text and music. There will be relaxed shoulders, humour and seriousness, the chance for something good in the glass, and most likely some small curiosities and surprises.
Ellen Sofie Hovland is a songwriter, musician and psychologist. She has released four albums with Kirkelig Kulturverksted. Three of the albums have been nominated for Spellemann, and she received the Spellemann Award for her second album.
Double bassist Roger Arntzen is a well-established jazz musician, known among other things from In The Country and their collaboration with Knut Reiersrud and Solveig Slettahjell.
Cellist Johannes Martens is based in the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and classical music, but frequently ventures into other genres, as in this song trio. Welcome!
