KRISTIANSEN // VEMØY – Hymns for Shepherds and Kings

For the third year running, we welcome you to an atmospheric and meditative Christmas concert with KRISTIANSEN // VEMØY – two of the country's most exciting musical communicators. This evening will be a unique opportunity to experience a musical journey through reinterpretations of Christmas hymns, in the tension between the message of joy and hope, and the brutal reality we live in. The concert is a contemplative experience for both soul and mind – in the church room where the album was recorded. With inspiration from jazz, classical music and electronica, KRISTIANSEN // VEMØY creates a unique sound universe where the restless and unclear meets the calming and clear. The contrast between electronic textures and acoustic elements provides a profound experience that embraces the spectrum of human emotions. KRISTIANSEN // VEMØY are both acclaimed musicians who have made their mark in various musical contexts, as performers, composers and through their own projects. Their collaboration has roots in the work with the Jakob Masses at Kulturkirken Jakob, and since 2021 has resulted in three album releases and 55 concerts in Norway and Denmark.
