Made in Corea 25 Years – Continuing the Legacy

The second anniversary evening of Made in Corea is about carrying the legacy forward. Chick Corea was known for showcasing young musicians and creating new musical encounters, and in the same spirit Made in Corea invites three of the most exciting names from the new Norwegian jazz scene to Herr Nilsen. David Olafsrud on saxophone, Ole Qvam Myreng on trombone and Ingvild Ekeli Slembe on vocals meet a band that for 25 years has devoted itself to Chick Corea's music. The result is an evening where generations meet, where tradition meets innovation, and where improvisation, creativity and the joy of playing take center stage. Made in Corea has grown from a tribute project into an institution on the Norwegian jazz scene, with a repertoire ranging from acoustic jazz to modern fusion. «Continuing the Legacy» is a tribute to Corea's eternal curiosity and proof that his music still inspires new musicians to create something of their own.
