Martin Nodeland is a renowned guitarist, composer, and bandleader from Stokke, Norway. A prominent figure on the Norwegian jazz scene, he has earned international acclaim both for his instrumental mastery and his skills as a composer. Deeply rooted in the American jazz tradition, Nodeland’s guitar playing is often described as modern and innovative. Over the years, he has collaborated with artists such as Nduduzo Makathini, Tore Brunborg, Petter Wettre, Linda Sikhakhane, Gianni Gagliardi, Will Vinson, and ensembles including OJKOS, Ensemble Ernst, and Orkester 20:20. In 2024, Nodeland recorded his third album, once again teaming up with the brilliant saxophonist Will Vinson, repeating the success of Debut (2019). This music will now be brought to life at Herr Nilsen, performed by an international all-star lineup.
