A playful take on the ups and downs of filmmaking. Day for Night is a wonderfully spirited film that gently pokes at the glamorous image of the movie industry. We’re taken onto the set of the film Meet Pamela, directed by a Truffaut-like figure (played by Truffaut himself). Moving behind the camera and through the spaces between takes, we get bittersweet glimpses of the chaos that defines the production - and the private lives of the actors. It seems like everyone is involved with everyone, except the director, who spends his nights alone, haunted by film-related nightmares. Day for Night earned Truffaut his only Academy Award, winning Best Foreign Language Film in 1974. Good to know: * Language: French & English * Subtitles: Swedish
